Don’t Knock the Hustle

After spending some time in quarantine from catching this virus, I decided to dig into some of my Christmas gifts. One of them happened to be this book, “Don’t Knock the Hustle: Young Creatives, Tech Ingenuity, and the Making of a new innovative economy. It’s a book that tells some incredible stories of creatives, and those in the STEM world, making something of their hustle. Out of nothing.

The book opens with a story about AOC, Alexandria
Ocasio-Cortez. Now before reading this book I had my own views on AOC, throughout the years. I’m also not into politics whatsoever, but I’ve seen the memes, twitter, news stories, and internet’s reaction towards this person. Still enough in my head to form an opinion of my views of her. However, I didn’t know much of her story.

The introductory chapter tells the story of AOC, and everything that she was up against. Let me tell you that a story of work, grind, and hustle will change my view for anyone. That’s exactly what it did. The rest of the book talks about a couple of people, and their incredible successes despite all their disadvantages in the world. Primarily focusing on those who are putting their hustle in the forefront of their careers.

All of these entrepreneurs, creatives, and celebrities were able to make a name for themselves, without all the tools, knowledge, and resources. They created it, found it, or learned it, they were all resourceful.

You can buy the book over on my eBay!
