This is the true story of Carmine Imbriale – a gambler, a brawler, a bandit, a bookie, an enforcer. For two decades, Imbriale was a street-level operative in one of the most violent crews in the Colombo Family, and he endeared himself to some of the major figures of organized crime while developing deadly disputes with others.

I try to write these book reviews as soon I finish a book, so I can remember all the details, characters, and names. Welp, this book and the tales of the mob has a larger cast of characters than, The Sopranos.
Coming from a big italian family in the northeast, specifically from the New York City and Brooklyn area. It’s cool to hear some of my relatives, that can relate to the events that occured in this book. The people, places, bars, and events happened during their lifetimes.
It centers around what I would consider one of the most rational mobsters, Carmine Imbriale, retelling his tale working his way up through the ranks as a kid from Brooklyn. He gives you the information straight, and it’s entertaining to hear everything told
