Happy People Are So Annoying

Happy People Are So Annoying

Aren’t they?

Written by Josh Peck, most famously known for the Amanda Show and Drake and Josh. If you grew up in the early 2000’s he’ll be a familiar face. You might get the chance to learn a bit more about Josh then just his roles in the two biggest parts in his career.

I stumbled upon this book listening to Steveo’s Wild Ride Podcast. I hadn’t heard that name in years and it’s always interesting to hear of another person’s story outside of their work. Most of the book is Josh narrating just how he got into acting, the time with his mother, and how he became such a big force in the social media space.

It’s a bit of an autobiography, but my take is that it is an open journal of Josh telling readers and his audience that he’s okay and that it’s okay to not be okay.

Like most people who maybe purchase this book, it’s a nostalgic look back and perspective of the world through the lens of one of the most popular childhood stars. Josh opens up to everyone in this book, spills the tea, and lets everyone know that he is doing okay with or without your approval.

Rating: 3 out of 5.
