Memory by Nat Geo

Thoughts

Well I feel like I’m an imposter writing this post. As I write this post on the Memory magazine issue, I’m having a hard time remembering all of the great concepts of this issue. Many of the topics and suggestions in this article are similar to those covered in Keep Sharp. NatGeo tells the readers to focus on sleep, nutrition, exercise, and understand that we still don’t know everything about the brain.

Target Audience

If you liked the book Keep Sharp, or are interested in learning more about the brain this one is for you. It’s not a classic textbook structured writing where you’ll hear common definitions, but rather a lot of quotes and studies from the doctors who are researching the brain all over the world.

Takeaway

This isn’t a typical book review as it is a magazine, but since I was just finishing up the review of Keep Sharp and this came across my desk, I wanted to give it a shout. Some of the takeaways that are gathered from this Sanjay, reiterates in his book, and the Nat Geo issue, does it’s best to relate a lot of these medical findings to everyday occurrences. It aims to provide the reason why we see the things we see and what we do.

It’s another great source for you expand your knowledge on the brain and other topics. While not a full book I recommend giving it a quick read.
