Thoughts
I read this book thoroughly until about Part 2 of the table of contents. So like chapter 5 or 6, and then I realized I do all this shit already. I am not knocking David Allen at all, he’s smarter and more successful than me, but maybe it’s because of my job and career, or the time when this book was written vs the tools that we have today.
Regardless David, details every aspect in life that will make you into a machine. From evaluating your workspace, tools, objects, or distractions. He gives tips and tricks as well that helped him. I think it’s a great read for people stuck in a rut or trying to really get the next promotion at their job.
I think this book might be useful for those people in your life that struggle to get anything done, or are always misplacing things. These are some simple engrossing tactics to get more productive. While some topics are outdated from technology the methods are not. David writes a clear plan and details everything out to help the reader get themselves primed and ready to be effective.
This is another great book for your child going into highschool or college to help them get started to maximize their full potential.
