Just wasn’t my cup of tea, but looking forward to reading the other books in his catalog.
I hate you
I Hate Your Guts, has been a book that’s been on my list for a little while. After getting into the greatest show on earth ever created, Opie and Anthony, I found out Jimmy had written a few books. Listening to him and Sam every morning on SiriusXM, I may be a little biased in this review.
However, if your into Jimmy and his angry takes, dirty language, and debauchery then this is a great book for you. I am a big fan of Jim and his other work in standup, and radio. I have to say though this one wasn’t for me. It’s cool to take a look at some of the stories from Jim’s mind and his take on some notorious scenarios from the old O&A days.
There’s plenty of nods to O&A, and the typical Jim rants going on for each chapter. It’s dirty and vulgar and even got banned in a library in Alabama (if I remember correctly). He isn’t afraid to write and say what’s on his mind ripping people apart, and then taking a photo in person with them when he meets them face to face.
