Spider-Man Life Story

Thoughts

It seems as I get older I just want to see Spider-Man or Peter Parker finally get what he’s been chasing for this whole time. A family with MJ, success in school and business, and to just relax for once. This book is all too real as it tells the story of Peter Parker aging with us through the decades. It’s a cool concept, and it was well reviewed on Reddit.

Chip Zdarsky does a great job inserting major comic book events, and retelling the outcomes and how they impacted Peter’s life. You also get a chance to see the impact some other new characters have on his life. It’s a nice little tribute to so many pivotal moments in the marvel universe and major Spider-Man story arcs.

Target Audience

If you’re a Spider-Man fan and a millennial this is the book for you. If you are looking for a good read and want to pick back up with an Spider-Man tale I highly recommend this one, along with Spider-Man is feeling a little…Blue

Takeaway

There a bunch of real nice twists on a classic storylines here. They are elegantly done, and not overly explained. Honestly, being away from the Amazing Spider-Man run for a while now, it’s just nice to see Peter have the family that he always fights so hard for. It’s great to see the twist on things as he succeeds and fails in other challenges in life. It’s a classic tale of the Spider-Man that we all know and love, and he still deals with struggles no matter what age or decade it is.

With a refreshing twist on classic storylines Spider-Man Life Story is a fulfilling series that helps you peak into the future for our favorite web slinger.
