Personal Injury Tracker

Scenario

Between doctor visits, rehab exercises, and daily activity I needed a way to collect all of my data in an easy to view application, that would allow me to track how I feel and what I’ve recently done to have a positive impact on my recovery.

Requirements

  • As a user I just want something that is easy to use
  • Integrates with my existing Google sheets
  • Avoids sharing information with any more companies
  • Provides me with some insight to view my personal trends over time
  • Allows a better way to input data, specifically with a laptop

Product

The end result turned out to be this personal injury tracker. It’s composed of a couple of different data tables, and represents all of our information in different views that provide some impact for the user. There’s visit history, milestones, and even a way to track how individual body parts are feeling over time.

The few screenshots that you will see below is from the mobile app. It’s barebones, works great, and most importantly solves a problem that I had. Sometimes a solution doesn’t have to be elaborate.

Personal Injury Tracker

I created this little app to get a holistic view of all doctor visits, physical therapy exercises, trends, and daily diary to keep record of my feeling and recovery.

Daily Entry

The daily entry screen is the start for all users. It’s a basic journal that allows you to write anything and everything that happened for the day. It’s setup with a scoring system from 0 -10 for each affected body and give a rating based on how you feel at the time of the entry. This generates an overall score used in later dashboards.

  • Allows the user to create a new journal entry each day
  • Basic CRUD operations
  • Allows the user to enter in all data on specific body parts as well as generate an overall health rating to gauge how your feeling

Trend Dashboards

What’s the point of data if you can’t use it?
Based on all of your journal entries the user can generate these different views by body part or overall feeling. It’s great to see if I am feeling better over the course of a week or two.

  • Each dashboard can be viewed per body part or overall rating
  • Allows for a better insight into what activities or feelings
  • Exclusive access to design insights.

Milestone Calendar

The other data collection screen allows for a user to see any significant dates that had an impact on their recovery. This can also be used as a forward looking function to specific markers or goals!

  • A milestone calendar built in to view in Days, Weeks, or Months
  • Allows to focus in on specific dates for meaningful actions
