Probably the most important book that you could read, if there was one for you to pick up to start leading a healthier lifestyle.

How Not To Die

So this might be my most influential book review of 2023 for myself. I am an avid fan of anything that can help me get better, be more efficient, or anything of the sort. The title of this book is very looming, but the information was pretty invaluable.
Dr Michael Greger, is the founder of the website https://nutritionfacts.org/. A completely free website that is maintained from a community and has no ads (think of your wikipedia). As I’ve gotten older, I started to drift away from the “protein” culture that is in everything today, and find the balance that is healthiest and provides the most energy for me to get things done.

How Not To Die, explores and elaborates on a plant based whole food diet. However, it’s not being pushed down your through to try this diet, buy this thing, or eliminate “X”. This is all promoted by showing some substitutes, alternatives, and studies to formulate evidence based reasoning for each of the foods that Dr. Michael Greger suggests.

Yeah actually a while ago I just tried to prioritize greens and switch up my diet every so often to be heavily plant based(70/30) because of alot of the evidence that is presented in the book. A lot of information you might already know, if you make healthy choices, but it’s actually just helped me win over other people and present them with a list of good food choices. I think the one thing that has really changed is my view of just how great a plant based diet really is beneficial for your health and other biomarkers.
