Open Water Swim Training Block Summer 2026

Whew, it’s been a minute since I posted on here with some good news or even the confidence of a training block. I think it’s been almost 3ish years since I had a good training block that I felt I can actually complete regularly, without my injury getting in the way. The last couple of months have been trending upwards with little to no setbacks (yet, fingers crossed). I’ve scaled back a lot of movements that I used to do, and not rushing back. I have a different perspective these days on health and what it means for me to be able to get back to living. Not being in pain, and being able to jog or run (slowly I’ll take), is more than I can ask for right now.

However, with all that being said, I’ve been focusing on what I can somewhat do without much aggravation and that’s swim. So here’s a training block with the help of gemini that I’ll be following to prep for the next 16 weeks or so. This covers everything from swim days, core and weight lifting. What you won’t see here are any stretching, yoga, bike, or prehab days that I include for myself. They change too frequently and the exercises that I perform vary from one week to the next depending on the body’s response.
